Documentation

Documentation has been one of the major activities of the Center to identify, preserve and document the various arts and crafts forms of the region, especially those that are disappearing. The major art and craft forms and traditions of the region, as well as their intellectuals, are periodically recognized and documented. The center is still working on documentation related to various arts, crafts, folk forms, folk paintings, economic status of artists, fairs and festivals, temples, churches, museums, etc. in the form of photography, videos, etc.

North Zone Cultural Centre has made documentaries on major fairs and festivals, craft fairs, folk art forms, folk instruments, great masters, museums, temples, art galleries etc (list attached). The Center worked with anthropologists, musicologists and professionals from other fields to produce these well-researched films.
