MANAGEMENT

Following are the authorities of North Zone Cultural Centre:

(a)      Board of Governors

(b)      Executive Board

(c)      Finance Committee

(d)      Programme Committee

 

COMPOSITION OF BOARD OF GOVERNORS:
The Board of Governors shall comprise the following members, namely:-

1. Chairperson – Governor of Punjab.
2. Principal Secretary or Secretary, Culture Department of all Member States.
3. Secretary or his representative, not below the level of Jt. Secretary, dealing with ZCC in the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
4. Financial Advisor or his nominee (not below the rank of Deputy Secretary) Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India.
5. Joint Secretary or his nominee (not below the rank of Dy. Secretary), Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Govt. of India.
6. One eminent Expert in the field of Folk / Tribal Art Culture from each member State to be nominated by the Hon’ble Minister of Culture, Government of India.
7. Director, Handloom / Handicraft of Member States/UTs.
8. Director General or his nominee (not below the rank of Deputy Secretary to the Government of India), Anthropological Survey of India;
9. Director of the Society – Member Secretary.

COMPOSITION OF THE EXECUTIVE BOARD:
The Executive Board shall comprise the following members namely:-

1. Chairperson – Joint Secretary dealing with ZCC in Ministry of Culture;
2. Members:
   (I)    Secretaries Culture of Member States;
   (II)  Director/Deputy Secretary (IFD) or a representative, Ministry of Culture, Government of India;
   (III)Director of the Society – Member Secretary.

COMPOSITION OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEE:
The Finance Committee shall consist of the following members namely:

1. Chairperson – Financial Advisor or Joint Secretary dealing with Zonal Cultural Centres (ZCCs) Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India;
2. Members –
   + Secretary or his nominee not below the rank of Director, Department of Cultural Affairs of Member States/UTs;
   + Director/ Deputy Secretary/ Under Secretary dealing with ZCC in Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
   + Director (F)/ DS (F) or his representative, Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
3. Member Secretary – Director of the Centre.

COMPOSITION OF THE PROGRAMME COMMITTEE:
The Programme Committee shall comprise the following members, namely:-

1. Chairman – Secretary (Culture) of a Member State on rotation basis, in alphabetical order, for a period of 2 years;
2. Members-
   + One nominee each of the Central academies (Lalit Kala Akademy, Sangeet Natak Akademy and Sahitya Akademy) State academies to be nominated by these academies;
   + Chairman of the Arts Councils or State academies of the Member States
   + One nominee of Department of Cultural Affairs of the each Member State, not below the rank of Deputy Secretary;
   + One eminent art personality from the field of folk/ tribal arts from each State to be nominated by the Member State;
   + Director/ Deputy Secretary/ Under Secretary dealing with ZCC in Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
3. Member-Secretary – Director of the Zone.
