The arid climate, the hills and the great plains have shaped the social life in different parts of Rajasthan. Rajasthan presents a rich ethnic variety. There are many tribes comprising the Sansis, the Kamaras, nomadic, Banjaras and the Gujjars, the Rathods, the Bhils, the Mina Bhils, the Garasias, the Sehrias and the Rebaris. The language spoken by all these is Rajasthani in the form of varied dialects. The architecture of the mediaeval temples, schools of miniature painting of Rajasthan are known far and wide. Rajasthani culture is rich in folk dance and dance-drama styles which reflects the physio-geographical features, ethnic variety, artistic heritage of the state.
