| The North Zone Cultural Centre
started International Cultural Exchange Programmes from the year 1995-96. The Centre has
sponsored more than 200 artists to Dubai (U.A.E.), Singapore, South Africa, Botswana, Sri
Lanka, Switzerland, Indonesia & England. The main aim of International Cultural
Exchange Programmes is to project Indian Culture abroad and to entertain the Indians
residing foreign countries and also to make the foreigners aware about the rich cultural
heritage of India. What better achievements can an organisation talk about, then that
North Zone Cultural Centre carried, the Indian National Flag to Stage of U.N.O. in Geneva
(Switzerland), where the artists from North Zone Cultural Centre presented a scintillating
programme before more than 1000 diplomats from more than 100 countries.
Again, a landmark in the history of North Zone
Cultural Centre was accomlished, when Indian flag was hoisted alongwith the flag of U.K.
and Telford (Country Flag) in honour of student artists visiting Telford. |
